18th Annual Kilted Classic golf tournament
“While it is not compulsory to play golf in a kilt, it is fun and certainly encouraged,” Gus Noble – President, Chicago Scots
Scotland has given the world many things – the telephone, the postage stamp, penicillin, whisky and, without a doubt, the best James Bond ever. But for many around the world, Scotland’s greatest invention is golf.
Unlike any other golf outing, the Chicago Scots Kilted Classic Golf Tournament is truly unique. Scottish fun happens before, during and after the golf – the sound of bagpipes fill the air; Highland dancers perform colorful flings and jigs; Scottish whisky and beer tastings on par 3 tee boxes; Scottish themed competitions and challenges throughout.
This year, we are delighted to host the tournament for the first time at the magnificent Cantigny Golf Club. Cantigny is the former home of great Scotsman Colonel Robert R. McCormick, owner and publisher of the Tribune Company. We look forward to welcoming you for an exciting tournament that is fun and purposeful.
All proceeds from the Kilted Classic Golf Tournament will benefit our principal charity Caledonia Senior Living and Memory Care, an elder care community in North Riverside, where we offer a range of assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care services.
